AUCKLAND CITY SPECTACULAR $199 per person

Heletranz’ City Spectacular flight departs from the Albany heliport to over-fly the North Shore. The flight continues past the Harbour Bridge, Upper Harbour towards Point Chevalier, Auckland Zoo, Mt Eden and Eden Park. Auckland is sited on the remnants of 60 Volcanoes, visible en-route is a ring of prominent volcanic cones including Rangitoto Island which erupted a mere 700 years ago. We over-fly Auckland’s central business district and Viaduct Harbour, and past Sky Tower, the most prominent man made feature on Auckland’s skyline. The flight then tracks across the Waitemata Harbour to the Devonport Naval Base, North Head and Rangitoto Island, east coast beaches and their multi-million houses before returning to the heliport. The Auckland Spectacular scenic flight takes approximately 20 minutes and is Auckland’s most popular helicopter scenic flight.

AUCKLAND BY NIGHT or SUNSET $199 per person (Champagne Bollinger on arrival)

Lifting off from the heliport is a great moment as Auckland’s lights begin to wink into view or the long shadows and rich colours of the late afternoon show why Auckland is considered one of the most beautiful cities in the world. The flight tracks across the Harbour Bridge for Auckland City and its surrounding suburbs. At night or late afternoon the city is quite different. At sunset the landscape softens and at night familiar landmarks such as volcanic cones disappear altogether and in their place the lights of the city and structures such as the lights of Ericsson Stadium, Alexandra Park Raceway, Eden Park or some of the local tennis courts combine to create a surreal view of the city.The flight takes approximately 20 minutes.. Note: Night flights become sunset flights from October to March.

WEST COAST AUCKLAND ADVENTURE $299 per person

This is the most visually spectacular scenic flight. The flight covers Auckland City, Waitakere Ranges and some New Zealand’s most rugged coastline. The Waitakere Ranges and shore line is renowned for natural New Zealand fauna and flora, wild surf beaches and has been featured in international movies such as The Piano and TV series such as Hercules and Xena.  Most of the forest is in the various stages of regeneration with several remaining stands of virgin forest. The West Coast Adventure flight flies from Albany to Bethell’s (Te Henga) beach. At Bethell’s beach we turn south to follow the coast to view surf-pounded sand beaches and volcanic cliffs with jagged rocks and caves carved out over the centuries. We continue to the beautiful bush of the Waitakere ranges and water reservoirs hidden within, then on to the mouth of the Manukau Harbour where the helicopter leaves primordial New Zealand behind to over-fly suburbs leading to the central city area. As in contrast tot he West Coast the East Coast greenbelts and built up areas are as serene as English countryside.  Auckland's violent volcanic birth is evidenced by Mount Eden, Mt Hobson, North Head, Rangitoto volcanic cones as well as other visible cones en-route. The flight then goes from Rangitoto Island across the harbour towards the beautiful East Coast beaches then return to the heliport. This flight takes approximately 36 minutes.

Helifishing NZ$780 pp

Includes Helicopter charter fee, Pilot/guide, Lunch & snacks, Non-alcoholic drinks, Rods, reels, tackle and bait for the day.  Our pilots and guides originated heli-fishing and have made thousands of fishermen happy over the years –even when the fishing isn’t that hot the thrill remains on the faces of all who come with us. Depart from our Auckland Base and head out to our chosen fishing spot, flying over the islands of the Hauraki Gulf sometimes viewing dolphins, whales, meat-balls and always exciting landscapes. All of the fishing equipment required is supplied (top-of-the line Penn 8500s spinning reels and matching 10ft graphite rods), including the bait. The helicopter and Pilot/Guide stays with you to assist. Lunch or snacks and non-alcoholic drinks are included in the cost.  After four hours of ‘lines in the water’ fishing we begin wrapping up and fly back to our base. (Total trip time 5 hours)
